Mountainview sleeps 9 comfortably and offers a full kitchen, large bedrooms (one with a custom gaming station), Wi-Fi, cable TV, and in-house laundry facilities. In the warmer months, rest on the balcony overlooking the heated pool, which is private only to Sudendorf guests. Mountainview Townhouse also provides our guests with membership access to the indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs at The Summit Village as well as at the Lodges at Schuss and Shanty Creek.

 

The Bellaire area offers access to hundreds of attractions. Shanty Creek boasts four championship golf courses: Cedar River (Weiskopf), The Legend (Palmer), Schuss Mountain Course, and Summit Course. In addition, other excellent courses are conveniently located nearby. Take a short trip to Lake Bellaire, Torch Lake, or Grand Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan for swimming or boating, or enjoy a nice, relaxing canoe ride down the Jordan river.

 

After a long day on the links, shopping, hiking, biking, swimming, or boating, return to air-conditioned comfort at Mountainview. For the colder months, curl up in front of the fireplace with a good book and good company, with firewood provided at no charge.

Kitchen / Dining / Living Room

 

The stylishly renovated kitchen opens to a comfy living space and dining area that can seat 6-8.  The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking and eating utensils, pots & pans, etc.  Also included:  refrigerator, oven/range, microwave,  drip coffee maker (combo traditional and k-cup), toaster and crock pot.  In Mountainview's main living space, you'll find leather couches, a 40” Smart LED TV with cable, and an awesome red, retro fireplace!  The views of the golf course, woods and ski slopes are on full display through the sliding doors and picture window. 

 

Bedrooms

 

The first-floor master bedroom is equipped with a new, adjustable queen bed.  There's also a Smart LED TV with cable and stackable laundry facilities in the closet.  On the second floor, treat the kids to a space all their own.  There's a custom gaming station and large Smart LED TV (the kids - and adults - will love the old-school games from back in the day!)  This bedroom is equipped with a combo bunk bed/futon that folds out and sleeps 3.  A climb to the loft allows two more kids to sleep in their own private space, with two more twin beds.  The third bedroom is spacious and includes a new, adjustable queen bed and a great view of the Schuss Mountain golf course's hole #2.   All linens and bedding are provided.  As with most of the properties in the Schuss community, most rooms have their own heaters that can be set to keep everything nice and comfortable for everybody.  

 

Bathrooms

 

There is a full bath on the first floor with a stall shower.  Upstairs you'll find another full bath with a custom tiled tub/shower.  All towels are provided, as is a hairdryer.  

 

Outside & Other Amenities

 

• A large deck faces the second green of the Cedar River Golf Course at Schuss Mountain and a scenic trail winding through the woods from Sudendorf to Schuss Village. This same trail connects you to miles of groomed cross-country skiing, biking, walking, and running trails.  

• There's a gas grill for your use. 

• You’ll have complimentary access to great pools:

  • In the summer months, our condo complex opens it's heated pool - accessible only to Sudendorf community members, and steps outside the front door!

  • The outdoor pool at the top of Summit Village at the Lakeview Hotel

  • The indoor pool / hot tub at Summit Village

  • The indoor pool / hot tub at Schuss village

• For skiing, the lifts at Schuss Mountain are a 2-minute drive away.  After a day on the slopes, enjoy a cold beer and warm atmosphere at Ivan’s slope-side lounge.  For even more skiing terrain, try Boyne Mountain - about a 40 minute drive away. 

• For dining, you can:

  • Take a short drive to Schuss Village, Summit Village or Cedar Village for dinner.

  • Another quick drive takes the family to historic Bellaire, with attractions like Short’s Brewery, Toonie’s Fish & Steakhouse, and a host of other quaint shops and restaurants. 

  • The River Bistro at Cedar River Village and the Lakeview at Summit mountain (which overlooks Lake Bellaire) offer fine dining opportunities.

• For a modest daily fee, you can use the Summit Village health spa and workout facilities  

• For skiing, the lifts at Schuss Mountain are a 2-minute drive or quick hike away.  After a day on the slopes, enjoy a cold beer and warm atmosphere at Ivan’s slope-side lounge.  
• (Boats and trailers are not allowed in the complex parking lot, but there is trailer parking only a couple of minutes away near the main entrance to Shanty Creek)
