Welcome to A-Frame of Mind! A brand new, roomy and one of a kind A-frame designed in the style of the classic “Kingdom of Schuss” lodges – but with all the modern amenities!
Set right in the middle of Michigan's fabulous Shanty Creek/Schuss Mountain resort area, this brand new Austrian inspired A-frame was just recently completed. It features an open, airy floorplan, 4 comfy bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a custom recreation room with TONS to do.
There’s a large deck overlooking the hardwood forest, a firepit for gathering around the bonfire at night, and an awesome outdoor Finnish barrel sauna.

The Bellaire area offers access to hundreds of attractions. Shanty Creek boasts five championship golf courses: Cedar River (Weiskopf), The Legend (Palmer), Schuss Mountain Course, Hawk's Eye and Summit Course. In addition, other excellent courses are conveniently located nearby. Take a short trip to Lake Bellaire, Torch Lake, or Grand Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan for swimming or boating, or enjoy a nice, relaxing canoe ride down the Jordan river.

OUTSIDE & OTHER AMENITIES
A-Frame of mind is perched at the top of a small hill in the woods. The driveway is rather steep and can be slippery in the winter – 4-wheel drive is recommended. At the top of the driveway there’s a firepit right across from the deck with chairs for gathering and the outdoor barrel sauna is just steps away. The house is in the woods surrounded by tall maples and beech trees. There’s plenty of room for parking cars in the circle drive.
You’ll have complimentary access to great pools:
For skiing, the lifts at Schuss Mountain are a 2-minute drive away. After a day on the slopes, enjoy a cold beer and warm atmosphere at Ivan’s slope-side lounge. For even more skiing terrain, try Boyne Mountain - about a 35 minute drive away.

Rental Policy
CANCELLATIONS – If cancellation is done at least 30 days before date of arrival, deposits will be refunded. Cancellations made within 15-30 days of arrival will result in a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 15 days prior to stay are non-refundable. Because of the unpredictability of the weather, we cannot issue refunds for poor trail conditions, bad weather, etc.
SMOKING - This is a NON SMOKING / NON VAPING vacation rental property. Guests understand that smoking/vaping in the house is not permitted. If this rule is violated and smoking or vaping has been detected in the house, an additional $175 cleaning penalty will be assessed and the security deposit will be forfeited. If you do smoke outside, please put cigarette butts in the trash, not on the ground in the yard.
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT: Check in time is 4PM. Check out time is 11AM.
PETS - Your pets are allowed in the house with prior approval. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up any/all pet refuse, and - please - pets are not allowed on furniture or beds at any time. Any evidence of pets on furniture will incur extra cleaning fees.
AGE - The guest signing this agreement must be at least 25 years of age.
"GOOD NEIGHBOR" POLICY - We want you to have a ton of fun up here, but we need to respect our neighbors’ ability to do the same thing. Therefore, we have a strict “good neighbor policy”. If we receive a complaint regarding excessive noise or inappropriate behavior, we will have to ask you and your group to leave the premises. NoiseAware decibel monitoring (non-recording) sensors are on the property. Please - let's work together to make sure everyone up here has a GREAT time!
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY – The maximum number of guests is limited to 12 persons, unless other arrangements are made.
THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED ON THE PROPERTY: USE OF ILLEGAL DRUGS, USE OF FIREARMS, AND USE OF FIREWORKS OF ANY KIND. IF YOU ARE FOUND TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THESE RULES, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE WITH NO MONEY REFUNDED.
