Accessing the Property
There is an electronic keypad on the front door. Just touch the screen with the palm of your hand to activate it. Then type in your access code to unlock the door. (Type in the code again and push the lock icon to lock the door when leaving). YOUR ACCESS CODE AND THE PROPERTY ADDRESS WILL BE EMAILED TO YOU A DAY OR TWO BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED ARRIVAL.
What to Bring

Swim suits and beach towels (even in the winter, we have access to some nice pools and hot tubs). We provide bath towels for as many people as the property sleeps, hand towels, and washcloths. We ask that you please bring your own beach towels if you plan to swim.

We provide an initial supply of paper towel and toilet paper – but depending on your family’s expected use, you may want to bring some extra. 😊

Three or four garbage bags are provided for each stay.

Even though you are surrounded by nice restaurants, you might want to bring food and drinks to take advantage of the full kitchen.

If you’d like to have a fire when you get here, you may want to bring newspaper as a starter, in case there isn’t any at the house.

Personal hygiene items (soaps, shampoo, etc.).
Parking
Driveway / parking: There is plenty of parking for cars up by the house. The driveway is long and narrow and slopes down a bit. In the winter months, it will be plowed, but 4x4 can come in handy. 😊 Please take caution in the winter months as the drive can be very icy. If you have a trailer / boat it may be difficult to back out. There is a storage field for trailers about a 5 minute drive from the chalet, across the street from the main entrance to Shanty Creek
PLEASE REMEMBER:
Our house is a NO SMOKING property. Please smoke outside away from the house (not on the decks, or next to the doors). Also, please use an ashtray; we are charged by our cleaning crew for picking up cigarette butts in the yard or in the firepit, and that charge will be taken out of your deposit if they are left behind.
Shanty Creek/ Schuss are quiet, peaceful places and have strict noise policies. Please no loud gatherings and make sure not to make excessive noise outside after 10:00 PM, otherwise the association has been known to contact the Sheriff’s department. Noise at the property is monitored by NoiseAware LLC and we receive notifications if the noise level is too high. Failure to respect Shanty Creek rules can result in the immediate termination of the rental agreement.

***IMPORTANT: If anything appears broken or damaged upon your arrival, please call or text us immediately. We do not want to charge your security deposit for something that may have been damaged by a prior guest. Thank you!
